“I found Colonial at a time in my life when I was desperate for its comfort and friendship, and it has spiritually sheltered and sustained me ever since. I thank you, God, for Colonial's founding parents and for those who nurtured the church so that it would be here for me to find and become a part of. Their legacy changed my life. Now it is our turn to leave a legacy. Guide us to make wise decisions so that Colonial Church will be here with its welcoming arms for those in need in the future. Let us be a blessing to them.” - a prayer by Cheri Van Orman

MAKING OUR CASE: WHY INVEST IN OUR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN?

Colonial UCC is launching a Capital Campaign that will produce a generational investment in our building so that we can continue to be a blessing to the congregation and community. It is essential that we have quality facilities that attract members of all ages. It is also essential to have facilities that enhance our outreach and service to the community. A previous generation founded this church as a “mission outpost on Mission Road.” We are honored to share this mission and vision with the next generation.

Buildings serve missions.

Colonial Church comes together following God's ancient call to be a blessing to all the families of the Earth. The call remains the same, yet each new generation adapts to bless in new ways.

Rev. Aaron Roberts, Senior Pastor

Colonial Church's building was initially designed for the needs of a different generation, and the time has come to adapt to continue to serve well as a "mission post on Mission Road."

The capital campaign that we are about to work on together is how we do that. Over the past year, we have imagined...we have prayed...and God is leading us to new ways that we will serve in the years to come.

This is an exciting time! What we are about to do will enable lives to be changed and blessed. Thank you for your willing hearts and hands to do your part for a new generation!

In Christ,
Aaron
