Live & Learn About Internet Safety

  • Colonial Church in Prairie Village 7039 Mission Road Prairie Village United States (map)

Live & Learn About Internet Safety with Sunflower House, TUESDAY, August 4, at 7:00 pm, Social Hall. Sunflower House was the first Children’s Advocacy Center in Kansas. You may know them for their personal safety training in area schools—maybe Happy Bear visited your kindergartener?

Sunflower House also helps parents and other caring adults stay current on the ever-changing issue of online safety. In a special evening presentation, they will discuss topics usually covered in their Keeping Kids Safe Online Training, designed in conjunction with the Overland Park Police Department and the FBI Cyber Crime Task Force. Topics include

  • Practical safety tips and tools

  • Internet and social media safety, including gaming systems, music devices, other wireless/internet communications, apps and AI

  • How to report cybercrimes, scams and exploitation

  • Mental health awareness, concerns and how to get help.

Bring your questions, concerns and challenges. And, of course, a friend or two!
