A group for women of the church. Activities include social gatherings such as Blue Moose Tuesdays and Morning Coffees, book group discussions, cultural outings and outreach. Activities will be posted in the Crier.
Men's Breakfast Group
At this monthly breakfast, held at 8:00 am on the second Tuesday, attendees get to visit over breakfast and hear about a variety of topics presented by members. Currently, the group is not meeting out of precaution over COVID-19.
Tuesday Morning Book Study
A group of individuals who gather weekly to read novels, historical, political and theological works, in addition to a variety of other topics. New members are always welcome to this lively, interesting discussion. We make an effort to read books that are available either at the public library or in paperback or in an e-version. Group meets at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays in the Heritage Room. *At this time, this group is meeting virtually. Please contact the church office for the link.
Thursday Morning Study Group
This group meets Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. So, if you’ve had questions about the role of the Bible in the world today, this conversation may be exactly what you need. You can either meet at Colonial Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays or connect online. Just contact Heather Winker to get on the contact list. Open to all.
Quiltmakers
Each year our Quiltmakers make about 70 quilts that they give away. Meet the first, third, and fifth Friday mornings each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Social Hall. Through these quilts, love is shared. Baptized people receive them. Colonial Church shares these blankets with the Cross-lines Christmas Store; Children’s Mercy Hospital; KU Med Pediatrics; and more.
Writers Group
The Colonial Writers Group gathers once a month on Wednesday morning. We come together to share our life stories, essays, poems, and creative projects. All are welcome whether you come to share or simply be inspired! *At this time, this group is meeting virtually. Please contact the church office for the link.
