Artists Helping the Homeless

For the past few years, members of Colonial have purchased, prepared and helped serve an evening meal on the fourth Sunday of the month to support the program of Artists Helping the Homeless. We look forward to returning to our former way of contributing to this program after the pandemic, but until that time, please support our homeless population with a donation to cover the cost of the meal. Pay through our website by going to https://colonialucc.breezechms.com/give/online Select AHH from the dropdown menu.
Volunteers for Sunday Mornings

Our Sunday Sunday morning services are suspended during the pandemic but we will welcome our volunteers back once a regular schedule resumes.
Sunday morning is a great time to volunteer! Here are the available opportunities
Ushers serve at the 10:15 service. They greet people, collect offering, and help clean up the sanctuary. On the first Sunday of the month, ushers serve communion.
Hospitality Table helpers greet everyone and make visitors feel welcome. They make sure the nametags are in order in the nametag cabinets and remind members to wear them. Hospitality table helpers stay at the table for the first 15 minutes of the service.
Fellowship Hosts host the fellowship time after 10:15 service in the Heritage Room, which provides an opportunity to catch up with one another and welcome visitors. You just provide cookies and prepare the coffee. This typically requires 15 minutes before end of service for setup and 30 minutes after church for hosting and clean-up..
Videographers use a video camera and PC to livestream the worship service via YouTube. Trained videographers can provide this service at weddings and memorials services, for which they may receive an honorarium. Please contact Pastor Aaron for training prior to your Sunday volunteer time.
Worship Graphics Operators use a computer in the choir loft to change the display on the video screens at the front of the sanctuary. Opportunities are available at both the 8:30 and 10:15 services. Please contact Pastor Aaron for training prior to your Sunday volunteer time..
Contact the church office to sign up to help with any of these opportunities (913-362-7735).
