Groups & Activities

Chances to get involved and develop relationships go beyond our regular Sunday morning worship services. The interests, concerns and talents of the congregation are enriched by a variety of small groups.

Groups at Colonial

Leadership

Members of Colonial have the opportunity to use our initiative, to grow and involve ourselves, using our talents to grow in knowledge and devotion to one another. The rewards of participating, of accomplishing a task, building relationships, giving to those less fortunate or simply showing care and concern far outweigh any level of commitment. The Colonial Church Council and the various boards and committees help to keep Colonial church operating and undertake special projects as needed.

Outreach

While the Board of Outreach administers the benevolence portion of Colonial's budget, the congregation also supports a variety of projects in the Kansas City area and throughout the world through gifts of time and resources. Whether your interest lies in helping the homeless or promoting world understanding among peoples, there is a group at Colonial that needs your help.

Colonial Friends

Social

Colonial offers a variety of small groups to provide opportunities for members to get acquainted with others. We have groups that meet monthly and others that meet as interest allows. Check out the various opportunities available.

Music

The worship services at Colonial are augmented by the efforts of three groups: the Adult Choir, the Children's Choir, and the Bell Choir. The Adult Choir participates in the 10:00 a.m. service each week and the Children's and Bell Choirs perform on occasion.
